Website and Branding Directly Enabled Securing Over $5,000 in Event Funding

Core Outcomes

2 Months

Project Duration

An organization with limited digital presence

The Problem

As a brand-new initiative focused on community arts and fundraising, Rang De Pride faced systemic challenges rooted in having no digital footprint. These issues created critical obstacles to legitimacy and financial viability:

Low Credibility and Funding Blockade

The initiative lacked a professional web presence, which was the main obstacle to securing corporate sponsorships. Funders saw no legitimate digital storefront, making them unwilling to commit the required capital.

Scattered Information and Public Confusion

Without a central website, all event details, mission statements, and contact information were scattered across social media and emails. This created internal administrative burdens and resulted in public confusion about the organization’s legitimacy and purpose.

Inconsistent Visual Identity

The initiative lacked a foundational brand kit (logo, colors, visual voice). Every promotional asset was being created ad-hoc, which undermined the professional quality of the arts event and prevented them from building a consistent, recognizable brand.

Architecting Digital Legitimacy

The Solution

The primary objective was to quickly build a digital platform that professionalized the organization and demonstrated trustworthiness to potential sponsors. The entire project was designed as a direct solution to their funding barrier.

Phase 1

Brand Foundation from Scratch

Designed the complete foundational brand identity, including the logo, color palette, and professional voice, to ensure immediate visual authority.

Phase 2

Strategic Website Architecture

Built a single, high-impact website from scratch to serve as the central source of truth for the organization’s mission, event details, and sponsorship opportunities.

Phase 3

Financial Alignment

Structured the website content and design to directly support the sponsorship package, creating a seamless and credible presentation for potential corporate funders.

Tangible Results

outcomes

The strategic website redesign delivered the following immediate, tangible results:

Funding Goal Attained

The professional digital presence (website and logo) directly enabled the organization to successfully secure over $5,000 in necessary corporate sponsorship, meeting its critical event funding goal.

Instant Credibility

The newly launched, strategic website acted as the organization’s professional storefront, immediately validating its mission and building essential trust with funders and the public.

Centralized Communications

The website provided a single source of truth for all event details and mission statements, ending the previous reliance on scattered social media posts and emails, and improving administrative clarity.

Brand Longevity

The delivery of the final logo and brand kit ensures the organization can maintain a consistent, professional visual identity across all future marketing and event cycles.

How Did We Get There?

Project Breakdown

Step 1: Vision Alignment and Content Strategy Workshop

I hosted a detailed kickoff meeting to define the team’s core mission, target audience, and desired aesthetic. This established the initial Information Architecture and clarified the crucial content needed to appeal to corporate sponsors.

Step 2: Architectural Sketching and Prototyping

I developed initial layout options and user flows using UXPilot and Figma. This provided a high-fidelity visual blueprint and allowed the team to see and confirm the site’s structure before any development work.

Step 3: Platform Research and Budgeting

Recognizing the limited budget, I researched various low-cost hosting options. I presented the team with the most viable solutions, ultimately settling on Hostinger and its built-in website builder for maximum cost-efficiency.

Step 4: Strategic Implementation, Final Review and Launch

I executed the full website build, ensuring the content, imagery, and structure were strategically designed to align perfectly with the sponsorship package, directly enhancing the organization’s legitimacy for funding.

After incorporating all final feedback, I successfully published the completed website. The launch provided the organization with the immediate digital credibility necessary to secure essential event funding.

Step 5: Ongoing Support

The success of the foundational website project secured continued trust and an expanded partnership with Rang De Pride. I now provide continuous support for their digital presence, focusing on:

→ Logo Design: Managing and applying the official logo design and brand kit across all new assets.

→ Event Management: Designing and managing dedicated event pages for all upcoming community initiatives. Creating event posters as required.

→ Community Resource Development: Building and maintaining a dedicated resources page to better serve and connect their community members.
